2014年の沖縄ESLキャンプは8月2日から8月9日までありました。 今回のESLキャンプでは、2011年の地震と津波の未曾有の災害で辛い経験のある 福島県の中学生2人が沖縄県に招かれました。

AWWA(嘉手納基地の非営利福祉団体)の協力で生徒達の仙台から那覇までの飛行機 代、及びESL授業料は支払われました。

また、ESLキャンプ修了式で、 写真に写っている方がAWWA会長のMeghan Walshさんと会計のLisa Rogers、 そして琉米歴史研究会の喜舎場 静夫です。 福島県からの生徒は志筑 友奈さんと八巻 佳那さんです。

The 2014 Okinawa ESL camp began on August 2nd and ended on August 9th. This year's camp saw 2 Fukushima junior high school students invited to Okinawa from Fukushima Prefecture that suffered heavy loss of life and property in the 2011 earthquake and tsunami.

Their airfare from Sendai to Naha and the ESL tuition was made possible through the funds from AWWA, a nonprofit welfare organization based on Kadena AirBase.
